Free Preflop Charts
Solver-based open-raise (RFI) starting ranges for every position at a 6-max table. Study them, memorize the hand classes, and stop guessing what to open.
How to use these charts
These are raise-first-in (RFI) ranges — use them when it folds to you and you are opening the pot for the first time. Position (UTG → BTN → SB) is everything.
Each position lists the hand families to open-raise with. Suited hands play better than offsuit, so every position opens more suited combos. Pairs are always included.
These ranges assume 100 BB effective stacks. Shorter stacks tighten ranges; deeper stacks can widen slightly. ICM spots (tournaments, final tables) require further adjustment.

6-max, 100 BB effective stacks, standard 2.5× open size. Ranges derived from modern solver outputs at low exploitability. Use as a starting framework, not a rigid script.

Key concepts behind these ranges
BTN opens nearly 3× more hands than UTG because acting last post-flop is worth roughly 10–15 BB/100 in EV on its own. The further right you sit, the wider you should open.
76s and 65s open from CO because the nut-flush draw and straight-draw equity compensate for the weaker raw strength. 76o and 65o do not — the flush potential is gone.
Solver outputs show many borderline hands (e.g. A7o from SB) as mixed raise/fold — sometimes open, sometimes fold at a set frequency. In practice, a consistent raise is fine against most recreational fields.
High-rake games (micro stakes, live poker) tighten ranges slightly — especially for marginal suited connectors. Versus weak passive fields, you can widen for exploitative reasons and still profit.
